Trains
The route Amsterdam - Paris (via Schiphol, Rotterdam and Brussels) will be used by Thalys trains. Their maximum speed is 300 km/hour. On the other (partial) routes of the HSL, the high speed trains of the HSA consortium will run.
The Dutch operator NS Hispeed already ordered a number of new high speed trains. These trains have a maximum speed of 250km/hour. It concerns the following (partial) routes:
- Amsterdam - Schiphol - Rotterdam - Antwerpen - Brussel;
- Amsterdam - Schiphol - Rotterdam;
- Amsterdam - Schiphol - Rotterdam - Breda;
- Den Haag - Rotterdam - Breda - Antwerpen - Brussel.
